TMC MOTORSPORT PREPARED 2005 LOCOST - £4250
Originally prepared for Matt Cherrington in 2005, this Locost has been constantly developed in the TMC Motorsport workshop for the past 2 years. Driven by Tony Childe-Freeman in 2007, this highly prepared Locost is now up for sale. Ready to race in 2008 with the minimum of preparation, this car will be competitive with the best in the Locost field. Full spec below:
Chassis: Stuart Taylor chassis, with newly fitted TMC Motorsport roll cage and side impact bar.
Engine: TMC Motorsport development engine. Before sale this will be checked and set up to our latest spec as fitted to Matt Cherrington's 2007 car.
Transmission: Fitted with a Ford Type 9 5 speed with standard ratios and a Quaife Quick Shift lever, connected to a 4.1:1 ratio differential via a Stuart Taylor propshaft. Completely compliant with the proposed new gearbox regs for 2008.
Suspension: Leda adjustable shock absorbers all round, fitted with 550lb/sq in springs at the front and 130 lb/sq in at the rear. Fully adjustable Panhard rod with a single rose joint.
Steering: Solidly mounted standard Mk 2 Escort steering rack. Easily adjusted to a quick rack with an aftermarket kit.
Wheels and Tyres: Ford Laser alloy wheels, fitted with Yokohama A539 tyres as per regulations. Front tyres are brand new and have only turned a few laps.
